Application and customer requirements
Our customer, a multinational automotive company, implemented Siebel's Lead Management System to reorganize its supplier management processes in five Asian countries.
The objectives of deploying this new application on the extranet were to improve control over costs for subcontracting, accelerate its relationship processes and improve visibility.
The web application was installed on a central server with all information sent securely as HTTPS (SSL) over a secure network.
From the very start, some 100 remote users complained that the overall performance of the extranet was not satisfactory and were reluctant to use the application.
