How is it possible to install an appliance in transparent mode in two hours without reconfiguring the network, when it takes several days to install a Reverse Proxy box?

All our products are of course installed in Reverse Proxy, but thanks to our patented technology, they can be installed in transparent mode in just two hours without requiring any modification to the network, servers, applications or clients.

The user types in the same URL to access the application and the application still sees the user's address rather than a proxy.

How does installing BoostEdge in Transparent and Invisible mode protect my servers?

BoostEdge's Transparent and Invisible deployment mode, installed in just two hours, protects your servers from attack by making them invisible to users. This brings zero-defect security.

Does BoostEdge carry out compression?

Yes! This is the basic principle behind acceleration.

What does adaptive compression mean?

Compression is automatically adjusted on the basis of the characteristics of the data type and the browser's actual ability to decompress the data it receives.

Load-balancing

How many servers can be grouped in a cluster?

As many as you want. There is no limit, other than the machine's capacity.

Yes! What's more, if you are using load balancing to ensure high service availability, it is actually preferable to use a VIP.

Yes! You can assign multiple IP addresses to BoostEdge, which are then VIPs from an external point of view. You can then link a service to each of these VIPs.

SSL

How can you secure a server or an application?

In the same way as with acceleration and all the other functionalities, BoostEdge intercepts and processes the connections sent to the server; it is therefore the SSL termination point. Requests are sent to the server in uncoded format.

BoostEdge intercepts port 443. The server does not have to listen on this port.

Can you encrypt connections between BoostEdge and the server?

Yes! The requests BoostEdge sends to the server can be either uncoded or in SSL.

Does the server also have to listen on port 443?

No! The server does not have to listen on the port. Thanks to the transparent interception mechanism, the browser believes that it is connecting to the server on port 443. In reality, the connections are intercepted by BoostEdge.

Does BoostEdge check client certificates?

Yes! The information extracted from the certificates is sent to the application via the HTTP request header or by recreating a certificate.

Can you redirect connections that arrive on port 80 to port 443?

Yes! You simply need to create a service to intercept connections sent to the server on port 80. Rather than sending the connection, BoostEdge returns a blank response with the status code 302 and the relevant location field.
